FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our wire harness and cable assembly manufacturing services.

General

What types of wire harnesses and cable assemblies do you manufacture?
We assemble a wide range of wire harnesses and cable assemblies, including automotive wire harnesses, medical device cables, industrial control cables, power cables, data/signal cables, high-flex robotics cables, and custom cable assemblies. Our capabilities cover simple point-to-point assemblies to complex multi-branch harnesses.
Where are your manufacturing facilities located?
We have two manufacturing facilities: our main facility in Shijiazhuang, China (specializing in rapid prototyping and engineering support) and our Philippines facility in Cavite Economic Zone (specializing in mass production with US tariff advantages). Both facilities maintain the same quality certifications and standards.
What industries do you serve?
We serve customers across multiple industries including automotive, medical devices, industrial automation, robotics, aerospace & defense, consumer electronics, telecommunications, and renewable energy. Each facility is certified to meet industry-specific quality standards.
Do you sell wire or connectors on their own?
No. We are a wire harness and cable assembly manufacturer and integrator — not a component distributor. We source and integrate the right wire, connectors and terminals into a finished assembly built to your specification, rather than selling individual parts. Our value is in the assembly, integration and testing.
I don't have a formal drawing — can you still build my harness?
Yes. We can work from a physical sample (which we reverse-engineer), or from clear photos plus measurements and a wire list. Our engineering team produces a manufacturing drawing for your written approval before production, so nothing is built on a guess. If a key detail is missing, we send a short list of engineering questions rather than assume.

Pricing & Orders

Is there a minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
No, we have no minimum order quantity. You can order as few as 1 piece for prototyping or testing. While per-unit costs are higher for small quantities, we support projects from single prototypes through production builds.
How do I get a quote?
Submit your requirements through our online quote form with your drawings, specifications, and quantity needs. We typically respond within 24 hours with a detailed quote including pricing, lead time, and any DFM recommendations. For complex projects, we may schedule a call to discuss requirements.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes, pricing typically decreases with higher volumes due to setup cost amortization and production efficiencies. Volume discounts generally start at 100 pieces, with significant savings at 1,000+ and best pricing at 10,000+ pieces. We provide transparent pricing breakdowns for all quantities.
Can I save on US import tariffs?
Yes, our Philippines facility is GSP-eligible for duty-free entry to the United States. This can save US customers up to 25% on import tariffs compared to manufacturing in China. We can provide quotes from both facilities so you can compare total landed costs.

Lead Times

What are your typical lead times?
Lead times vary by complexity and quantity. Prototypes: 48 hours to 2 weeks depending on complexity. Production orders: 2-4 weeks typically. Factors affecting lead time include design complexity, custom connector procurement, special processing requirements, and current capacity.
Do you offer expedited or rush services?
Yes, we offer 48-hour rapid prototyping for simple designs from our China facility. For production orders, expedited processing is available with rush fees. Contact us with your timeline requirements and we'll work to accommodate your schedule.
How long does shipping take?
Shipping times depend on destination and method. Sea freight: US West Coast 14-21 days, US East Coast 21-30 days, Europe 21-35 days. Air freight: 3-7 days worldwide. We partner with DHL, FedEx, UPS, and major freight forwarders for reliable delivery.

Quality & Certifications

What quality certifications do you hold?
Both facilities are certified to IATF 16949:2016 (automotive quality), ISO 13485:2016 (medical devices), and ISO 9001:2015 (quality management). We maintain RoHS compliance controls and use IPC/WHMA-A-620 certified operators for workmanship. For projects with UL-related requirements, we can assemble to the customer's specified UL file, material, label, and test requirements.
How do you ensure quality?
Our quality process includes incoming inspection of materials, in-process quality checks, 100% electrical testing (continuity, hi-pot as required), final inspection, and traceability documentation. We use force-monitored crimping, pull testing, and vision inspection systems to ensure consistent quality.
Do you provide test reports and certifications?
Yes, we provide comprehensive documentation including material certifications, test reports, first article inspection reports (FAI), and certificates of conformance. Specific documentation requirements can be discussed during the quoting process.
Do you perform First Article Inspection (FAI) before volume?
Yes. We produce a first article / first sample with inspection data for your approval before volume production. A sample or FAI fee may apply and is often credited toward the production order.
What if the measured length differs from the drawing?
We build to the approved drawing revision. If a discrepancy appears, we confirm which revision you are using and resolve it before or at first article — so please always reference the drawing revision number on your documentation.
Are materials RoHS compliant, and can you supply UL or CSA certified wire?
Yes. We use RoHS-compliant materials and can provide component-level RoHS certificates (a finished harness may not carry a single RoHS certificate, but we supply the underlying wire and component certs). We also integrate UL-recognized wire (e.g. UL758 AWM) and CSA-certified wire (e.g. CSA C22.2 No. 210) — just tell us which standards your application requires.

Manufacturing

What connectors do you work with?
We work with all major connector manufacturers including Molex, TE Connectivity, JST, Amphenol, Hirose, JAE, Samtec, and Deutsch. We can source connectors based on your specifications or use customer-supplied components. We're not limited to any specific brands.
Can you help with design?
Yes, our engineering team provides design support including Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analysis, connector selection recommendations, wire sizing calculations, and optimization suggestions. We can work from concept descriptions, rough sketches, or detailed drawings.
Do you handle component sourcing?
Yes, we can handle complete component sourcing or work with customer-supplied materials. Our supply chain team has relationships with major connector and wire manufacturers, enabling competitive pricing and reliable supply. We can also set up dual-sourcing strategies to mitigate supply chain risks.
What wire types do you support?
We work with various wire types including PVC, XLPE, silicone, Teflon/PTFE, TPE/PUR, and specialty high-flex constructions. Wire gauges typically range from 30 AWG to 4 AWG, with larger sizes available for power applications. Special requirements like high-temperature, oil-resistant, or halogen-free cables are supported.
What wire temperature ratings are available, and how do I choose between silicone and Teflon?
Typical ranges: PVC about 80–105°C, silicone about 150–200°C, and PTFE/FEP (Teflon) up to about 200°C. Note that an FEP-coated wire is sometimes rated only 105°C unless the high-temperature grade is specified, so we confirm the exact rating on the datasheet. For tight terminals, Teflon/FEP is usually better — silicone has a larger outer diameter and softer wall and may not seat in very small contacts. We advise the right insulation for your connector.
Can I get custom wire colors?
Yes. A non-standard color usually carries a per-color reel minimum (commonly around 200–500 m) and may add a small cost; standard colors avoid that minimum. Changing color generally has no impact on lead time. We'll flag any color-driven MOQ upfront.
Do you provide pinout and wiring diagrams?
Yes. We build strictly to your pinout and produce a wiring diagram for approval. Any pinout correction is confirmed in writing and reflected in the drawing before production.
Do you offer overmolding, strain relief and sleeving?
Yes. Overmolding (typically PVC, with TPU/TPE available, and UL-recognized materials where NRTL approval is needed), plus strain relief via heat-shrink (including adhesive-lined), backshells and grommets. Sleeving options include PVC sleeve, expandable braided sleeve, corrugated loom/conduit for abrasion, and EMI shielding sleeve — matched to your flexibility and protection needs.
Can you add shielding to my cable assembly?
Yes — shielded cable (foil and/or braid), an overall shield with unshielded pairs, or an added EMI shielding sleeve. We advise the most effective method for your application and EMC requirements.
Can you mark part numbers, revisions or labels on the harness?
Yes — via printed labels, heat-shrink printing or wire markers, per your drawing. We can print identification directly onto heat-shrink tubing, or apply a printed label under clear heat-shrink, and add UL-rating wire markings where required.

Shipping & Logistics

What shipping options are available?
We offer multiple shipping options: Express air (DHL, FedEx, UPS) for urgent deliveries, air freight for larger shipments needing speed, and sea freight for cost-effective bulk shipping. We can ship door-to-door (DDP) or use your preferred freight forwarder.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Our main markets include North America, Europe, and Asia. We handle all export documentation and can work with your customs broker or provide complete customs clearance services.
Can you hold inventory or provide Kanban services?
Yes, we offer inventory management programs for customers with recurring orders. This includes safety stock holding, Kanban replenishment, and scheduled releases. These programs help reduce your lead times and ensure supply continuity.
